I have every Overstreet comic book price guide including the first one and find this newest edition to be as good as the others, filled with accurate information, expert reports, and more. If you collect comic books, this is an essential book. Had some vintage comics I wanted to sell and needed some idea of their value to price them. This is the Bible for such information. I'm a long time comic collector, but asides from the odd few in my collection, I've never been particularly bothered about how much they are worth. Now, I've always been aware of Overstreet, and nearly bought volumes in the past, but never got round to it.

I joined the Facebook group and I was intrigued by people posting the value of their books, so I figured "What the hey? Granted, we all know these guides are out of date when they hit the shelves, but like the reviewer "B" the book provides you with a good starting point.

The book itself is very much like a telephone directory remember them? The pages are very thin and delicate, borderline flimsy in fact, which gave me pause before purchase, as I read how other buyers received damaged copies.

I too have received damaged books from Amazon all paperbacks , so I was worried that this would arrived mangled. Thankfully it arrived in near pristine condition. As mentioned, listed prices are out of date but do give you a general "ballpark" figure from where you can start from.

It is also a nice surprise when you're checking our prices and some of your books are worth a premium. However, we all know that things are any ever really worth what someone is willing to pay. This is the bible for American comic books. The prices shown are thereabouts but with the volatile nature of collecting the prices are only a guide.

I usually treat the dollar prices as pounds to get some where near the real values. Warning some collectors over value their comics. Some state rarity when there are many available.
